- To be responsible for all technical matters and actions to enhance the image of ACEN
- To organize conferences, and other technical meetings as necessary or directed by Council
- To organise all technical publications of ACEN such as proceedings of Technical Meetings (Seminars, Conferences, etc); Technical Guidelines and Manuals, etc.
- To formulate and implement policies on technical and professional development from time to time
- To promote ethical practice and proper regulation
- To enforce discipline and protect clients from professional misconduct and incompetence
- To compile data of social, economic and technical parameters for use of members and the public
- To compile data of failure of projects/works
- To encourage members to form consortia for capacity building
- To review and interpret from time to time the conditions of Engagement including payable fees
