Nigeria, ACEN is an association of qualified and experienced
consulting engineers who are registered by the Council for the
Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and work full time in
the area of consulting engineering. ACEN was incorporated in 1979.
The primary objective of ACEN is to practice the profession
of independent consulting engineering under a unified body, in a
strict professional manner to the highest ethical standards. To this
extent, ACEN demands from its members, a high standard of
performance and strict adherence to the codes of practice, codes of
conduct and ethics.
Membership is opened to all matured and
experienced engineers registered to practice in Nigeria. Membership
is also opened to firms and corporate bodies offering independent
